Hollywood, FL – Alissa Alfonso and SquatterPopUp are pleased to present, Eastside Artisan & Flea, a curated outdoor pop-up market featuring local artisans, upcycled, vintage, live music, food, and drinks in a local vintage setting. This “can’t miss art & flea event” takes place November 5th from 6-10pm at The Hollywood Beach Golf Resort / Rudy’s Pub and Restaurant located at 1650 Johnson Street in Hollywood, Florida.
Nearly 35 artisans and vendors were carefully selected by artist Alissa Alfonso. Surfy Birdy, Honeycat Vintage, and Unicorns Love Sugar Moonbeams are just a few of the vendors selling their wares .
In addition to showcasing local artists, vintage and musicians, Eastside Artisan & Flea will include a hands-on art project presented by Hollywood Art & Culture Center ,. A musical performance line-up will consist of Hollywood resident band Qoq, Anna Rosi and The Hollywood’s Kent Wallace & Larry Joe Miller.
Families will enjoy a special area dedicated to “Hug a Pug,” where foster dogs from Compassionate Pug Rescue will be available for a snuggle. Proceeds will benefit Compassionate Pug Rescue. Finally, kids will have the opportunity to engage in WOTAN, a interactive video game by artist Samuel Lopez de Victoria.
About Alissa Alfonso and SquatterPopUp: Hollywood-based visual artist and curator, Alissa Alfonso is a creator by nature. She is an expert at re-purposing materials and stitching them together to create unique pieces of art. Her love of art also birthed Squatter, a 1973 Shasta Compact trailer that has been transformed into a fully interactive mobile Art Gallery. “I think it is not only important to not only create interesting art that excites your audience…” says Alissa. “…but to help the Art community while doing so.”
