Good morning international art warriors and greetings from NYC!
By the time you read this, our team will be high in the air somewhere above North Carolina. The Superfine! team is headed to the Big Apple this week to host a pair of cocktail + information sessions–one in Soho this evening and the second on Friday in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn–geared towards spreading the message of the new and sustainable art market we’re growing with Superfine! The Fairest Fair here in Miami. We’re inviting forward-thinking dealers and galleries along with career-minded independent artists and curators to join us for a cocktail and learn more about the affordable, marketing-driven platform that our flagship fair offers in an unbeatable location at the heart of Miami Art Week (the beast of the art world known, en general, as Art Basel Miami). If you’ve been following, we’ve spent the last few weeks globetrotting, hosting a pair of similar sessions in LA two weeks ago, and on home turf in Miami last week to incredible response and fanfare. In the past two weeks we’ve brought more than twenty new exhibitors on board for this year’s fair and are looking forward to a completely full fair by the end of the month (we’ll release our full exhibitor list on October 21st, so stay tuned! Until then, there’s still time to apply which you can do right here.)
If you know Superfine! you know that we believe in the mantra of “Think global, act local.” Miami is our home, but we believe strongly in our ever-expanding mission to cultivate the strongest artistic and curatorial talent from the top art cities in the Americas and beyond. Next on our agenda is Mexico City, where we’ll be hosting an info session at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in the heart of La Condesa on Thursday, September 22nd in the midst of Gallery Weekend. Click here or on the image below to RSVP and join us to learn more about the fair and how you can exhibit in a dynamic, target-marketed space run by a real marketing team at the heart of the most-trafficked art week of the year.
You ARE the new art market. You are Superfine!Superfine! represents the birth of the new art market both here in Miami and globally. Our sustainable art fair model is based on the core belief that inspired, original artwork is an aesthetic necessity for everyone, not just a select few. We pride ourselves on producing a carefully curated art fair that focuses on presenting accessible yet challenging affordably-priced work by cherry-picked artists, curators, and galleries from around the globe. From a high-octane multimedia curatorial project drawn straight from the digital age by rising star NYC-based curators Airplane Mode to an interactive video dance installation wall that’s sure to put a smile on your face courtesy of Vermont-based artistMark Reamy to delicious authentic Kreyol food served by none other than Miami stalwart Naomi’s Garden & Restaurant, Superfine! is here to whet the collective palette of Miami’s growing art and culture thirst during a week that tends to focus on exclusivity over authenticity and quality. We provide value for our exhibitors and attendees through constant, dynamic programming and a commitment to affordable space, and thus affordable work that opens the doors of the art market to thousands of enthusiastic participants in the new art market. During the fair we’ll host everything from a Young Collectors’ Ice Cream Social to a “Sorry, I’m Not a Collector.” discussion panel as part of our mission to bring home the message of accessibly-priced art and furthering art appreciation and collecting across a broad cross-section of the Miami and international cultural landscape.
What you’ll find below are just a few of the delicious highlights you can expect at this year’s Superfine! in Midtown Miami. Stay tuned to the website and Facebook page for updates as we continue to release information on our exhibitors and programming throughout the fall.
